Creative Minds at Work

Applied Learning or Fine Arts strives to provide students with opportunities in engaging activities that will generate interest, spark passion, increase application of skills and knowledge, and facilitate communities that cultivate productive, civically-minded members of society.  Applied Learning for elementary students focuses on six areas: Civic Engagement, Music & Performing Arts, Physical Education, STEM & Computer Science, and Visual Arts.

SSSAK-8 SPECIALS

At Silver Shores STEAM Academy K-8, our elementary specials program ensures that every child grows creatively, physically, and socially alongside their academic learning.  KG-5th grade students rotate weekly through Art, Music and Physical Education. 

🎨 Art Special
Students explore creativity through drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital design. Our art program nurtures imagination, fine motor skills, cultural appreciation, and self-expression while connecting artistic concepts to STEAM learning and real-world innovation.

🎵 Music Special
In music, students develop rhythm, vocal technique, instrumental skills, and music literacy. Through singing, movement, percussion, and performance opportunities, scholars build confidence, collaboration skills, and an appreciation for diverse musical traditions from around the world.

🏃 Physical Education Special
Our PE program promotes lifelong health and wellness through structured fitness activities, team sports, movement challenges, and character development. Students strengthen coordination, endurance, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a safe, engaging, and energetic environment.

Together, our specials programs ensure a well-rounded educational experience where every student has the opportunity to discover their talents and shine.
