Dear Silver Shores Families,
Welcome to an exciting new school year at Silver Shores STEAM Academy K–8 — “The Greatest Corner in the Universe, where curiosity leads, and innovation follows.” It is my honor and a pleasure to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope you all had a relaxing and exciting summer break. I am extremely proud to continue to serve as the principal of this amazing learning community for the 13th year. This year, our theme is “Silver Shores STEAM Academy K-8: FULL STEAM AHEAD!”
We are thrilled to have our students, staff, and families back together, ready to embark on another year of growth, learning, and discovery.
At Silver Shores, we are proud to be a STEAM-focused academy, where Science, Technology, Engineering, Aviation, and Mathematics are at the heart of our curriculum. Our mission is to foster a positively charged, fully inclusive learning environment, where we inspire students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and explore the world with passion and purpose.
This year, we are especially excited to deepen our emphasis on aviation as a core component of our STEAM program, connecting students to real-world applications and future-ready skills. Through hands-on experiences, collaborative projects, and cutting-edge technology, we aim to ignite every student's imagination and empower them to soar.
As we begin this new academic journey, we remain committed to cultivating a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for all learners. We look forward to partnering with families and the community to ensure a successful and fulfilling year for every student.
As I said last year in my welcome back letter: “I believe there is no limit to what we can do and will achieve at The Shores. I am authentically committed to making every day important and better than the last. We will continue to learn from both our successes and our failures, and flourish as a community of learners that reach our highest expectations.”
