Silver Shores STEAM Academy K-8 is a BCPS recognized Magnet, full-choice school where students must apply to attend. In addition, there are four (4) K-5 Intellectually Disabled self-contained classes and one (1) 6 Grade Special Varying Exceptionalities (SVE) class.

Silver Shores STEAM Academy K-8's School Vision is: “The Greatest Corner in the Universe, Where Curiosity Leads and Innovation Follows.” The Mission Statement is:” Silver Shores STEAM Academy K-8 is committed to providing a safe, collaborative, positively charged, fully inclusive school, supported by the Florida BEST Standards, to successfully prepare our students to be college or career ready.”

Silver Shores STEAM Academy K-8 offers a rigorous core curriculum aligned with the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards while providing students with opportunities to engage in advanced and accelerated coursework in middle school. The Academy enhances learning through a wide variety of STEAM-focused electives and specials, including art, music, band, digital design and 3-D printing, aviation, physical education, environmental stewardship, financial literacy, world travel and introduction to careers, and coding and robotics. These programs are designed to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and innovation while preparing students for future academic and career success.
